GRIEF AND LOSS SERVICES
Grieving is a highly personal and individual experience. The way you grieve and the way your grief manifests itself depends on many factors including personality and coping style, life experience, faith, and the nature and timing of the loss. Grief is a process that takes time. Healing happens gradually; it can’t be hurried and rushed—there is no “normal” timetable for grieving. Some people start to feel better in weeks or months while for others, the grieving process is measured in years. Whatever your grief experience, it’s important to be patient with yourself, friends, and family in order to allow the grief process to naturally unfold. Losing someone you love or something for which you care deeply can be excruciating. You may experience all kinds of troublesome emotions, it might feel like the pain and sadness you feel is taking over and will never end. This is a common reaction to a significant loss. But while there is no right or wrong way to grieve or instructions to follow, there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that can renew you and allow you to move forward in your life.
All Care has designed Bereavement Support Groups to help different individuals and populations find healthy coping mechanisms through education and the support of people dealing with similar circumstances. Participants receive additional support and resources from our grief professionals who are trained to identify triggers and help implement the tools and strategies necessary to heal your mind, body, and soul after the trauma of a loss.
